Allene Leona Herman of Hastings passed away on Thursday January 28, 2010 at Pennock Hospital at the age of 74. She was born on March 20, 1935 in Battle Creek to George and Margrette (Ripley) Herman, who precede her in death. She made her home with her parents most of her life and has lived in Hastings since 1956. Allene attended the Church of the Nazarene in Hastings and is now with her Lord and Savior whom she loved and served. She is survived by her siblings, Robert (Rosezella) Herman of Hastings, Virginia Bolton of Nashville, Evelyn (Charles) Benedict of Hastings and Ernest (Gloria) Herman of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. She is at the Lauer Family Funeral Homes - Wren Chapel, 1401 N. Broadway in Hastings. Allene's family will receive friends at Hastings Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday February 2, 2010, from 10:00 until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Oyer officiating. Interment will follow in Rutland Township Cemetery.
